I now this is a sanparks site, and that this is a very comman bird, but I don't now were else to put this up.

At Wilgeheuwel were they are building the new Pick and Pay, the old ball and bucket lives a Grey Heron, sometimes I see up to 5, if someone wants to go and take photos

I reckon it is also the same place were they found the dead leopard on the 20 July

Hi Jesica

I live nearby, and you're correct, this is the same site where the young leopard was found in July.
We're fortunate to have quite a bit of wildlife still miraculously clinging to survival in the hills of the surrounding area. On my morning MTB rides I've encountered black-backed jackal, mountain reedbuck, grey duiker, scrub hares and have heard reports of caracals also being seen in the area, not to mention the prolific bird-life.

I guess they don't call it the 'wild west' for nothing

The sightings I've had haven't been all that far into the bush. Roughly 500-700m I'd say.
Good luck, hopefully you catch a glimpse of some of our suburban wildlife someday soon! :D
