Once, late afternoon we went for a drive on the Mahanie Loop at Punda Maria and we were about to turn back to camp at the intersection. “Something” made me to look right again (window wide open ) and within a meter (I think it was less :| ) was a male lion who apparently came from nowhere. We looked him straight in the eyes. I would not say that there were no cold shivers along the spines even though it was a bright and hot day :? It just shows that a person should never assume that the sightings for the day is over yet, until it is really over. Oh yes, I think many has gotten away without being noticed – well nearly

Birds are indicators of the environment. If they are in trouble, we know we'll soon be in trouble.
