Happy to transfer it [tho' don't know how] but I don't think we're supposed to post the same pic on different threads.

Granjan, as long as the photo is not in the same topic twice then you can post as many times as you like

Your photo would make a lovely addition to the Lake Panic topic.

Our latest pic from our trip to Kruger in June this year.
So majestic one can't resist them.

Hi All,

This photograph was taken from the S36 along the Bume river bed in early December last year. I didn't know the ID of the bird at the time and it was only when I got home and went through my images that I thought it might be an Osprey.
Image
Could you confirm this or tell what it is. Sorry for the poor quality as it was mid-morning and hot and sunny. It was also at quite a distance and I had to enlarge it quite a bit.

Sorry bondm, it's a juvenile fish eagle.

Looks like it has been fishing......

Thanks for your ID Bush Baptist. I will say it did look like it was going through a moult and appeared a bit scruffy. I didn't see it catch the fish, but hopefully it did catch it by itself and is on the way to adulthood.

Thanks again
