Hello everybody!
Last year in April, we’ve been in Richtersveld NP and discovered a whole lot of very interesting plants. Most of them could be identified by my friend and me. But one of these botanical treasures resists our efforts, we still haven’t been able to find out, what it is or more precisely – what it was.
We found these two cushions of fibrous curly leaves in a dry, sandy channel on our way from De Hoop campsite to Tatasberg. Both of these „scrub sponges“ have a diameter of app. 10 centimetres and a height of max. 4-5 centimetres. Unfortunately there haven’t been any remains of dry blossoms or seed vessels.
As we do not have a clue what theese cushions might have been some month before you are our last hope! Please have a look...
