We have been lucky at Bobbejaanskrans, watched some ellies grazing on the trees opposite the river bed and some bush buck with young just as you turn off. I think our best luck were the pack of wild dogs (who we saw earlier the morning tracking their meal) killed and eaten their breakfast right at the turn off!

It's such a nice place just to sit and have a cold one before heading off to Tamboti/Orpen or Satara...ahhh...wish I was there now after seeing the photos

I see nobody has posted a pic with animals in it, but still GS, one day I hope to see something there, and I don't dop. Just a bit of Amarula in my coffee. BTW, does Kulula fly there? ......

To us this is one of the favorites of the many lookouts in Kruger (actually they are all our favorites ). This year in May we also saw elephants grazing on the other side of the river bed. The next morning when we went there again from Orpen we had a baboon troop tirelessly clowning around. It is nice to drink an early morning coffee at Bobbejaankrans and smell the freshness of the veldt.

Bobbejaankrans ... aahhhh beautiful, peaceful, relaxing . Have not seen that many animals (or birds) from there though

agreed on all points.

I'm usually happily shooting squirrels or francolins there. Also saw a few black and yellowbilled storks there once.
The worst are the bushes there. When in bloom they reek!

Experienced the same there , baboons roost on the cliff face .

Any dangeous animals seen there??

Last year Sept we've missed out on a Leopard sighting on Bobbejaanskrans...just too late !!

My most favourite place in Kruger. Have seen loads of ellies in the riverbed below on several occasions. Wish I was there RIGHT NOW

Saw my first bunch of wild dog in Kruger on the little road to Bobbejaankrans, just after the turn off.

Also some Njala and an owl once.
