Every time I see Melph68 has started the new day's postings at Addo I have a bet with myself whether it is the hares which she has seen first, and lately I've been winning big time. :D :D :D

And every time I see lovely sightings this time of the evening, I don't even have to bet. I just know Chirinda will be recording them for us :D :

Hallo! :yaya:
Since I have to confess that I am addicted to Kgalagadi, and the Nossob webcam is the most frequent used site on my PC and mobile, I feel concerned about the water level at Nossob .
Is there anything I can do about it? Maybe contact Nossob at office hours ?
If there is anyway I could help, let me know.
Jeanette

Hi there kyknetta,

Thanks for sharing your concerns about the waterhole in front of Nossob. Please note that that Nossob did experience some water problems the last month due to wear and tear on the pipeline. It did happen that due to a water tank which was faulty the water to the waterhole had to be cut off to supply the water to the rest camp before it could have been opened to the waterhole again.

In the south we do experience the same problem with waterholes being 'dry' but the reason for that is that the Eland would come down at night and empty the waterholes and the pumps couldn’t pump water fast enough into the waterhole, for example the wildebeest.

Hope it helps.

Management is looking into the situation and plans are being made as we speak to have new boreholes drilled.

Regards

Picnic, that's a brilliant idea... I wonder if they could set that kind of thing up
