Wonder if anyone can help me here -

Have booked a BD3U unit in December at LS. Am looking at no 15 as well as 21 and 23.

What are your recommendations? No 15 looks quite good as the outside area is raised up and enclosed with a low wall, but would like some feedback please. We will be there for 5 days so this is my reason for being so selective
:D

Hi Marge

All the BD3U's are good - but if I must choose between the mentioned, I shall say 21 or 23.

You will love the accom - from your bed you will be able to look on the river if you open the curtains

Enjoy

Marge

Hope you will have a wonderful stay and that the hippo family will still be on a sand bank just opposite 21/23.

Thanks Leana,

So looking forward to our trip this year, and glad we have chosen to stay at one camp only. No packing and unpacking so will be so much more relaxing. Especially as we only allowed to move in to our accommodation at 2pm. I find this cuts so into the day expecially in December when the gates open so early.

Anyway we are going to give it a try and will request either 21 or 23 this year.

Thanks once again :great:

Marge :D

Exactly what we do for the last 2 years. After travelling for 2 days to reach Kruger, love to unpack and settle for 5 days, the duration of all our visits :( Usually stay in the LST2U's, but this year I could not find accom for 5 nights. Therefore decide on a BD3U that was available for the time. And what a big surprise. Although the river is not quite as near, the view is even better  the river lies open before you from the restaurant to the bridge. And as I said, there are even hippos on sandbanks for atmosphere

The unit was very neat and in excellent condition, love the patio, little inside kitchen and the big bathroom. The room has a door on the side which you can open for a cool breeze at night. In May it was really hot and it works wonderful. No need to put on the aircon.

We stayed in 20 and it was a good choice, but 21,22 and 23 will be all the same.

Hope you will be happy with this units. I am very

I don't know when I can go to Kruger again.

But next time I go, Lower Sabi or Croc Bridge will definitely be on the cards 8)

Hi to all..
I am going to stay in 7 camps in Kruger, and the most (five nights) in Lower Sabie camp. I am not sure about accessibility and distance to powerpoint at campsite units. Does every campsite unit have its own powerpoint? Is it the same in all camps? Are any cookers (even pots) available in kitchen at campsites? Thanks for answers in advance :)

Hi wilddog.prg
I am not a camper so will try and give advice but sure others who know more will add to it, and maybe even correct me! 8)
I would say if you book a campsite with power then it will have a convenient point.
There are hot plates to cook on but I don't think there will be pots and pans available, those you must take yourself.

Have a look Here

Also lots of great advice and info Camping

Just my small bit of advice

Yes the camps have powerpints BUT some are a little far to reach with just an ordinary extention cord You need a nice long one.( and a blue plug in some of the camps)
Buy an inexpensive cooking pot and just Have braais most of the time. There is usually boiling water in the kitchen area to make tea coffee etc.

Agree with Elsa and Hugh
If you have 20 meters of extension, you will be able to reach power from any camping spot
