The distance between the Crocodile river and Sabie river appears to be quite small at the S28 - surely this would make it one of the top winter roads?

The s28 is one of the best roads to see a lot.
Most people that enter through Crocodile Bridge go up the s28.
Although we do not conform to this, there is logic to going up the S28.
Last year December my girlfriend and I saw a Cheetah and two male lions, went down duke road towards s28). What I find is, if you go where there are no cars and people you will see different sightings, other than a lion just sitting 100 metres in the bush.
That is why we don't often go up/down the s28 a lot.

hen a little off the topic, I need some help on the yellow ribbon thing - I've searched it under the topics but couldn't find what I'm looking for, maybe you guys can help. I've read the mites put the yellow ribbons on their cars, but what is the yellow ribbon? Something specific or any yellow ribbon? And where to you put it? On the mirrors? I would like to put some on when I'm there next week so I can meet some other mites if I see them.

Good that you brought it up
It is any yellow ribbon. I bought a long strip at the flower shop down the road  I just tie it around my drivers mirror. But both mirrors is cool 8)

The other rule is to stick your forum name on your forehead so we can greet you as viewfinder without having to ask!

Need I say more?

Enjoy!

Just got back from Kruger and wanted to let everyone know our final verdict on this topic :D

H4-2: we had very poor luck

s28: In one morning, we saw elephants, lots of general game, and 2 leopards and a cheetah within 5 minutes of each other!
The s28 is the definite winner!
We will definitely drive this road again in the future! :D
