BUt the EB2 Huts does have electric Points and a fridge, right? I booked one of them after the discussion here in the forum about the charging problems.....
I'm staying there tomorrow...

Braai facilities are avaiblable for EB2 as well, right?

Hi Helsinki, the EB2 huts have electric points as well as a fridge. Although you have to unplug the fridge to use the electric point. Braai in front of you hut as well.

Not to worry Helsinki, the EB2 huts have a fridge and aircon - so there are plugpoints. And every hut has its own braai.

My apology if it has been mentioned somewhere but I cannot find it – what is the difference between the FU4D bungalow and the family cottages in Pretoriuskop? Which number is the FU4D bungalow? On the map it looks they are all FU4D bungalows with perimeter view. I thank you

I was wondering if anybody could give us some advice we are going to Pretoriuskop in December (18th to 23rd) what does the daytime temperature get to? Does it normally rain? Do the huts that sleep 2 have a plug?

The trouble is in this time of global warming, or whatever people want to call it, the weather is very unpredictable.

In 2009 we were in P'Kop late December and it was freezing and poured with rain...........everyone was miserable and had on coats and hats!!!

However in 2010 ot was hot as heck, and the sun poured down on us mercilessly!!

In other words the weather will be what it will be..............though I think in fairness it is more likely to be hotter than cold, but you should definitely be prepared for rain.

As regards the huts............ES2 does not have plugs, EB2 does ( I think!!)

Sorry not to be more helpful, but that is just what we found!!

Hi All

We are popping in for 1 night - just to be in the park, even if the time will be very limited. Thinking of staying at Pretoriuskop. Because this is a business trip and we wont have utensils or anything else, and also short of time, we would probably just have supper at a restuarant. What is the Pretoriuskop restaurant like or would we do better to stay at Skukuza or Berg-en-dal.

I tend to like the idea of a smaller camp rather than Skukuza.

Hi Tracylee - although a time back now, I only had good experiences when we ate at the P/Kop restaurant. It has a magical setting if the weather is nice (not raining) and you can sit outside in the evening.

The long term forecast says next Wednesday will be sunny and very hot!

What a pity it is only going to be such a quick in and out. Hopefull we will have time for a qucik drive around late afternoon, and will certainly be making the most of it first thing next morning!

Currently at Pretoriuskop.

Checking in took us 45mins today. The receiption staff were very unfriendly and truly unhelpful to some Germans.

But we went to eat at the restaurant and were truly surprised at the great service and even better food! Well done to them!
