Yes indeed. We are a bit sad because our five days in Biyamiti are coming up very soon and we wont be able to go over to that side of the park at all this year. Still, I know we shall enjoy ourselves :D

Have just got back from a visit to the park and seeing the damage and work to be done to the roads and camps must congratulate them on the work they have done thus far. I would however like to know when SANParks will be removing the metal from the rivers that has been dumped there by the floor waters as I feel it posses a great danger to the animals when they go to the river beds.

Am I right in thinking that if all goes well, in November, we will be able to enter at Malelane Gate, and travel the S114/S25 right through to Croc Bridge? I got so confused with all the road closures!!

I think so Val. the only blockage at the moment as far as I can see is the Biyamiti bridge. We went down to have a look at it a week ago. it didn't then look as though work had been started on it. The bridge itself looked fine (all praise to the builders) but the link to the road at the far (Croc Bridge) end has been washed away and possibly the one at the Biyamiti camp end as well; we couldn't quite see. But I'm sure it will be sorted before November, projected date of completion is 30th June.

I'll hold thumbs for November then!!

We are travelling down from Joburg, and staying in Komatipoort overnight.

We will want to be in the park as soon as possible, which is why we hope to enter at Malelane. amd travel the S25 to Croc Bridge, then out the Croc Bridge Gate to Komatipoort.

Plan B will be to carry on the N4 and enter at Croc Bridge Gate, and drive around that area for a while!!

Roll on November!!!
