We found this guy on 15.02.12 on the S29 - Maybe not one with the longest tusks but at least for me his tusks do look promising

A truly magnificent animal Pumbaa!
In the first photo the elephant actually reminds me of a picture of Dzombo, one of the original Magnificent 7
Nice pics!

Pumbaa,
Sorry for a bit late reply...but time time...

I received the pictures and to my opinion this is Zambhala. Can see the notch / little piece of loose skin at his right ear.

Thanks for sending !

I don;t like guessing who it might have been.

Hi Aat, we saw this tusker at Mooiplaas waterhole on three different occasions whilst up at Mopani. I think it is Ngotso?

 I got mixed up with the dam! Yes, I meant Ngodzi. The other two pics were of the same elephant, I just gave you left and right sides. So not even a promising tusker? :(

Thanks Aat. Do you need any more pics of Ngodzi, or have you plenty?

I saw this nice tusker just north of Letaba camp during my recent June trip. He was relatively relaxed in the company of numerous vehicles which had stopped to admire this tusker.
