Stopped off at Tshokwane on Thursday, it's looking good and the toilets are open, they are looking good with new tiles and doors. Loads of hard work going on there. I think it will all be up and running very soon now, according to some very friendly staff.

RosemaryH thank you for sharing the good news. Tshokwane picnic spot is a firm favourite amongst Kruger travellers and adventurers  When we past there earlier May some people were preparing breakfast in skottelbraais even though the picnic spot was still closed for repairs, I think it was their own :D . It smelled very good

Rosemary, thanks for the update

I am planning to be there in a little over 2 weeks and wondered what was happening. It looks as though there has been some serious work going on.

Thanks for the photos RosemaryH! This is indeed wonderful news! Well done to SANPARKS for the hard work there! I will also be going past there myself in about 3 weeks time and can't wait to see Tshokwane up and running again!

Please let us know when Tshokwane opens again. I hope it will be in time for the June 2012 school holidays, since we're planning to go there!

Bornfree.

Great news Bornfree. Viva SANParks Viva. A trip to Kruger is not complete without the obligatory stop at Tshoks.
