If you can get hold of kudu steaks, do so. They are sustainable and usually cheaper than cattle, which you won't want to eat after a delicious kudu steak on the braai.

They are also free range - fences don't stop kudu - and their meat has hardly any fat on, so it is healthier than beef.

If it is hot, which it probably won't be, buy as many 2 litre drinks at supermarkets as you can. In summer, those who sip from a little bottle, suddenly change to 2 litre bottles. I drink at least 4 litres a day myself. You don't believe it until you are there doing it!

Hi mariek,

Val is correct -- the shop at TR does take credit cards.

Just take lots of cash as well though -- in case the line is down -- it happens.

Just add a little (or a lot) of Amarula instead of milk and you have a really yummy nighttime treat :D
