You can pre book a camp site.
In July 2011 we camped on number 26, it was close to the ablutions and right at the fence as well,
next year 2012 we have pre booked site number 27,
besides Balule it is one of our favourite camps in the park.
We fell in love with Tsendze the minute we drove through the gates

Gmlsmit, stands 27 & 28 are excellent for sharing..it's a huge area and right next to the fence.
Stand 27 has a tap right next to the road and the ablution and kitchen are not far.
You WILL have a great time there.
I have booked stand 26 for our trip in July 2012 and I think tent dweller and family will be staying at stand 27 the same time!

Hello fellow Bush-lovers,

Hubster and I have booked at Tzendze for May and we are counting down the days!!! We will be renting a 4x4 trailer for the stay which is EXTREMELY exciting for the 2 of us!

As all of you seem to be the experts on the camp, can someone please comment on the following with regards to spot no 3:
1. Privacy
2. Shade
3. Proximity to fence
4. Distance from ablutions

I will sincerely appreciate your comments!

We stayed at number 3 in Dec 2009.
It is a private stand and it is close to ablutions, but it didn't have much shade when we where there, we more or less pitched our tent a bit in the bush to get some shade.
You are close to the fence.
I would rather suggest trying to get a different number if you are looking for shade!
Try to get hold of roger, he will be able to give you a good stand number that has great shade.
I think its 21-24 that has really got good shade, but I can be wrong...

We camped there when the ellie was coming into the camp. At night the rangers patrolled the fence.

Louis D, you are quite right, we do have Barred owl every night here at Tsendze and thanks for your visit

Hi every one,special people, am here again,
just to let you know about the owls that we have this time of the year,
here at Tsendze Rustic Camp, sorry for the pics, but sooner I will show you also the pics we have got African Barred owl,pearl-spotted, scops owl, white-faced scops owl and Giant eagle owls, come and enjoy these owls with us, Tsendze always for you, you are welcome.

Alto, I am not to sure about secluded but the people in the know say that number 26 is the best, it is along the fence, close to the ablutions.
we were on that site last year, this year we are going to be on number 31, also along the fence but further away from the ablutions,
in my opinion any site along the fence is good,
you should look under "accommodation photos" and there is a map of the camp.

Hi VleisV, not Rodger, but when you book in at Mopani they will tell you which is your allocated site.

Rodger will tell you how to reserve a site.
I think you need to call Mopani reception and ask them to do this.

Vleisvreter, you make a reservation as normal and then you call Mopani and book a specific site number. You won't regret camping at Tsendze

Good evening once again, 15 May 2012,today it was a really special day today
people from the camp was talking about the lions roaring in the morning in front of the gate going down to tsendze river,they killed a Giraffe at the conference look out point,
I also turned there,
I found lots of cars there, it was two male lions, Tropic of Capricorn 4 lions, Rhinoceros but sorry for not telling where it is but very close and one cheetah, first windmill going up north from Mopani camp.

Visoog you should tie the yellow ribbon to the driver's mirror of your car
There are communal freezers
No electricity to my knowledge If you need to charge something, it should be done at Mopani or Letaba
