Hi WillemK, the Martial Eagles are still around Dalkeith Waterhole as you can see in this video that I made in August 2011. I filmed the Eagles also mating.

Willem K, WOW. what lens did you use?
We were in KNP in July and was amazed how many Martial Eagles we saw and good sightings!

Great video - and I am so glad to hear they are still around. Hopefully they'll still be there in Dec 2011 when I'll be back. I saw great photo opportunities in your video - sorry, I am a photo guy and not a video guy. But I really enjoyed watching your video as it was well shot.

Great for you - the sightings of the martial eagles in the Kruger. My sightings were in the Kgalagadi Trans. park and one doesn't get better raptor sightings in the KTP than this.

My equipment used: Nikon D7000 with Nikkor 70-200mmm f2.8 lens and Nikon 2.0 convertor for these photos. A bit of a overkill as the eagle was sitting on the branch of a tree about 20-30m away from the car.

WillemK thats a good shot, maybe not technically
but well composed. Lenses don't bring composition.

Those eyes! Imagine what a small mammal must feel like when they lock onto it :big_eyes: Was lucky enough to see one take a banded mongoose right next to the road towards Shingwedzi! :D
