Hi Ronnie. Oh those Addo elephants are so special - you don't have to get your car into reverse and speed away when they approach, but just sit still and don't get into their space. Magic. Will be going over to see my son and family in Australia for 3 months and all I will see is the possum that lives under the house, and some Koalas and Kangaroos in the koala sanctuary. I will visit the forum from time to time to enjoy the beautiful african wildlife. So enjoy Addo in all its wonderful glory!

Showing a part of the car in the picture gives one a perspective of size and distance.
In doing this one can see that I have not zoomed in to make things look bigger and closer.
I do however make sure that I am not taking a self-portrait

Yes the Addo ellies are special and to think that they were almost hunted to extinction makes it even more special.

Yes I am very fortunate to be able to visit Addo regularly. Part of the N2 highway that was under construction when you were here has now been opened and it takes me 30 minutes in the morning to travel from home in Port Elizabeth to the southern gate entrance.

I took this photo of a young ellie crossing the road with only a few minutes of sunshine remaining in the "golden hour"
before the sun dipped below the horizon .
Take note of the long thin shadow cast in the road by his trunk
