With those scores............maybe this ID'ing should be halted
Nah! Will carry on tomorrow and, hopefully, may have 6 "answers" by Monday - MAYBE :(

Don't worry - expect you'll have company soon!
Have submitted - now waiting with trepidation
Don't know which was worse - #5/15 or #3/14

Eish, you can you compare those two pix!?!?

With #5/15 at least you can see the WHOLE bird... in focus too!

I wish it was time for the answers! I've gone through the whole lot again this weekend, using all the resources at my disposal (several field guides & the internet). I've changed my mind on #2. For the rest I get to the same result, although I'm still unsure about #5 (the eyeless)... the bill look like one group of birds (where there is one species with more-or-less the correct colouring - and I'm sticking with this ID, even though I'm not 100% on it), while the colouring is much more prevalent in a completely different group of birds, but the bill look different... would have been nice to have a relative size indicated...might have made the ID a bit easier... :?

Well, managed 3/6 - and can guarantee that 2 that were missed were Nos: 1 & 2 (drat those LBJ"s!) :slap:

3/6 for us as well PNF. Thank goodness our third team member has returned home. Think we needed him badly on this last one.

Jazil - don't think that your 3rd team member would have made that much difference this week
