I watched this young elephant bull in the early afternoon sun feeding contently on the tall green grass next to the road

Third Addo Webcam event coming up!

I'm going to ask one of the mods to remove it once the event is done and dusted.

I recently took this photograph in the Woodlands area

Zebra have been seen on the Addo webcam that is situated at the Main Camp waterhole.

If this kudu female is wanting to make her way to the Addo Webcam she is going the wrong way.

The webcam is at the Main Camp about 35km from here.

I took this today at Hapoor Dam

I love watching the ellies interacting with each other.

Photographs can not convey the love, affection and constant caring elephants show each other.

The older ellies even repremand and discipline the younger ones.

I love watching ellies and could do so for hours, we as humans could learn so much from them.

I love the information on elephants. When I was in Addo, I was amazed at how gentle they seemed. Lovely pictures, as ever.

Yes I agree with you. The Addo ellies never cease to amaze me how gentle elephants really are.

I took these pictures at Hapoor Dam.

On this particular day there were a number of family groups of ellies making use of the waterhole.
After one family group had finished they moved away and passed close by where I was parked.
All of a sudden I heard an ellie trumpeting behind me and when I looked back I saw this adult ellie hurryingly coming back to the waterhole.
She hurried past my vehicle and straight to this baby ellie where she gave it a stern talking too or is it a trumpeting too. She then hurried back past my vehicle escorting the little ellie to join the rest of her family where they were then welcomed back by the other members.

What a moment for me to witness this caring nature of the ellies in their tight family groups.
