Is this still open? I have got an original set of the old Parks Board epaulettes. It dates back to pre 1994. It is green with golden embroidery and looks like the same as the present SANParks logo (Kudu Horns) It was given to me by my brother that worked in Kruger for approxo 3 years.

(Picture yourself buying a set of khaki clothes, put on the epaulettes and pretend that you are this brave Ranger)

I think that will keep it for next year's auction. The folks that were prepared to fork out money to buy items have already made their purchases.Btw, the epaulettes are in mint condition, irreplaceable and have been used only once and that was on a fishing trip to Bloemhof dam. I have mentioned it before but for the new forumites I may mention it again. After I received it from my brother, I decided to use them at the dam. When the fish were slow to bite, I put on the epaulettes and started patrolling the shores looking for licenses. When the folks see me coming, they pulled their lines in and left the dam in no time flat. One guy offered to leave his wife in my custody while he went to town to get the necessary license. When I told them it was only a prank, some wanted to donner me, while others offered me free Brandy for the night. It was really something out of a Leon Schuster movie.
