SABLE OVERNIGHT HIDE:

Here are a few pics of the Sable ovenight hide when we stayed there on a full moon evening in Dec'11. Unfortunately it was overcast, but fortunately we enjoyed a nice cool night.

The inside of the boma area - park cars safely and have a well catered braai area:


The path to the toilet - longdrop. A water container and paper is available. It is locked, but will get key with bedding at Phalaborwa Gate reception.


Be nice to the resident frog in the hide - it will catch a % of the mozzies.

This is a VERY VERY HELPFUL topic. Thanks for everyone posting -

Can anybody help me PLEASE? I have a booking for a few nights at LS in a BD3U. I think they are almost the same, view etc. The patios are very close together (not very private ).

Can anybody recommend a good BD3U? Maybe a more private patio? Somebody recommended nr 20 or 18?

The BD3U units are all with a little wall between them. They are not so private, but I have to say, when we stayed there, we were not bothered by the sounds of the neighbors. Number 18 and 20 are great, try to get one of them.

I returned from kruger this morning and made some more pics and video's. I will start posting them tomorrow.

I would also recommend a higher number from 15 onwards. The lower numbers are far too close to the noise from the deck. If i remember correctly the last 2 BD3U bungalows are for wheelchair use only. Not sure what the numbers are but i think they are about 20

Hi everyone

I've been to 3 camps last week and took pictures of the accommodation types I didn't have yet. I will start posting pictures of Olifants, Lower Sabie and Skukuza tonight. I will visit Pretoriuskop, Berg and dal, satara and letaba again in August and will finish that camps pictures then.
