Lovely to see such happy faces .. great idea as each child received a gift that was different

Thanks Myles. Due to the HUGE success and the interest shown by the mites we will definitely do it again in 2012, the only difference will be is that we will then choose another school or maybe two.

Thanks again to all.

FABULOUS!!!!!!!   :gflower: :gflower: :gflower: :k :k :k

It was such a great experience to be allowed to be part of this.

Thanks to Jannie and Scouter for all the hard work, but I am sure that there were a great number of "back room boys...and girls", who helped to make this a reality.
To the wives, husbands, the other mites and the transporters who were prepared to cart all the pressies to KTP, a very big thank you from me.

Look forward to next year!

My kids are all grown up, but this makes Christmas come alive again as we see the delight on the faces.

I agree we can’t say thanks enough to everybody involved. Yesterday I went to the community centre and what I saw was so amazing seeing the kids playing with their gifts they received and all still smiles on their faces.

AGAIN THANKS TO ALL

Morning all,

Firstly I would like to thank again each and every one for their contributions towards this cause; I still receive bags of clothes and even brand new ones. We wait until we have a few bags and then we go out and hand it out.

The following pictures is of a project for Welkom School where we have received made up packs for the kids in included Brown paper, plastic covering, name tags and tape (And pens) for the kids to cover their books with.

I would like to thank Brian Jones for the generous donation towards the school.

To see the smiles on the kid’s faces made the day. The kids are so well mannered that when entering the class room they would all stand up and greet you..Makes me miss my school days

Morning All,

During the last month or so we have received plenty of clothes for our Clothing Drive. I have accumulated a few bags and Saturday we decided to go and hand out at two families which we know is having difficulty.

Thanks to all the mites who have contributed it is only a pleasure to go and hand out the clothes and see the faces (which i could let you experience the same as what we do).

From the families who have received the clothes a HUGE THANK YOU.

Calling all Cape Townians and KTP travellers! :D

SO and I will be arriving on the 24th March 2012 around 1 pm at the CT International.
I am planning to bring a bag or two (depending on how I pack) of clothes.
Although SO and I will be back again in CT at some later point throughout our journey,
I don't think our rented car will be big enough to store the extra bags. (We do need some
clothes ourselves, you know. )

So I would be very happy if a volunteer could meet us at the airport and collect the goods.
And maybe organise a hand over to another mite who is going up to KTP in the foreseeable
future if you are able to collect but don't go to KTP yourself.

Please send me a pm if you are able to help! :D
