Old Lifetime Cards (70+)

Unread postby saraf » Thu Dec 22, 2011 12:56 pm

I have received the following information from SANParks.

Currently we are honouring lifetime memberships that were purchased via Infinity and purchased before the 20th October 2010 (the day that SanParks took over from Infinity).

These lifetime cards are defaulted to ‘expire’ in 2035, therefore the customers do not have to renew
their memberships yearly. All they need to do is contact us only if there has been a change to the membership details.

They have also hinted at some other news that will be announced in the New Year, once the new systems and processes have been smoothed out.

Kite, indications I have is that additional benefits of a true loyalty card are being planned but I have no idea of exactly what.

Please reinstate these cards for our seniors who try to go to the parks regularly and need the helping hand and enjoy the privilege!

As I am soon to renew our wildcard and as we edge closer to the lifetime card landmark, I appeal to Sanparks to reinstate these for the benefit of all our senior citizens!

Just a reminder that, as the costs of Wildcards creep ever upwards, the lifetime cards are a real help for the over 70's.
Please make them available again!

There you go kite. If ever you wanted proof that SANParks do not give a fig about their customers you now have it. Don't they realise that it is our hard earned money that keeps them in a"job". I say "job" because to these folk it is not a career. It is merely a job so I can do as little as possible for as much as possible.

At the outset may I say that us pensioners really appreciate the pensioners discounts we currently receive on accommodation.

If SANParks cannot see their way to re-instating the over 70's card on a permanent basis may I make the following suggestion:

Please can they make a Wild Card for free to over 60's BUT only valid for the pensioners discount periods. I really feel that this would complement the pensioners discount periods very nicely and in addition be of great benefit to all us ou toppies en tannies. You will note that I have changed the age to over 60 to tie in with the pensioners discount for accommodation.

If they cannot do it for over 60's then please consider over 70's once again.

Us old timers have really contributed plenty of time and money in our numerous visits to the National Parks. I have lost count of the number of times I have been to Kruger but I do remember my first trip was during 1952.

Please consider the above suggestion.
