Having a cold one now celebrating. Park looking awesome!

Afternoon drive towards Phabeni gate on Doispane road yielded another great leopard, rhino, ellies and buffalo!

Excellent bateleur sighting. Sad to leave tomorrow but will give it another shot early!

Just left the Park at Malelane after a drive which included two big male lions, hyena and whitetailed mongoose at Skukuza, the rest of the day quiet down to Malelane although it did include about 40 ellies, buffalo and a quick black rhino sighting on S25, only my 2nd in the Park!

Full report in a couple of days time.

Hi there!

Safely back home after an absolutely unbelievable trip! Will try and do a full report within a couple of days! Still waiting for some pics from the family to be send through! Unfortunately sightings like that of the black rhino were unexpected and no camera were ready, while the leopard sightings were all either into the sun (early sighting), and the other 2 sightings was of leopard hunting impala, with little or no chance to get shots of the stalking cats. Will definitely include pics of the sable, lion and elephants. Thanks for all the comments on the trip, as always it's all about timing, although previous experience while working in the park and through research have helped a lot over the years. All I can say is that there is still plenty of grass left for grazing for the winter, although the animals seem te be congregating around the waterholes more and more. Will be glad to share info on all the sightings as well as other interesting info.

Regards
Katmal
