Hope the staff at Tshokwane are all ok and that the resident bush bucks managed to escape before the water level rose so much

For the sake of time I left the park at Croc Bridge and used the N4 to Malelane.

Caravan was fine - just a couple of pegs pulled out.

No damage visible on the N4 between Komatipoort and Malelane.

Saw a couple of pics on the BB groups today of the H12 bridge. Water looks back to normal (maybe bit more than usual) the bridge is ok the bars are bent and broken but all and all not to bad

Just chatted to one of the house-keeping staff here - the water did not even get close to the fence. The camp was fine although a bit wet!

Does anyone know how all this damage compares to the damage after the 2000 floods?

suspect a report will be made up in the near future
all i know is that the water level was not as high as then and less camps were hit by the water
And the north was spared this time

Thanks Lesego and DuQes for the pics. Looks like Tshokwane was the river bed for a while . . . and thanks everyone for the updates. EJ so glad your caravan is OK and your camp was safe from the flood. Looks like Funso has swung east too so things can get safely back to normal.
