It offers GPS coordinates for way-points like waterholes, picnic spots, lookout points, rest camps, etc. combined with maps, lots of photographs and descriptions of the many way-points, covering almost every kilometer of road that is open to the public in the Park. Anybody else play with the interactive maps of Kruger on the Go! site? Pretty snazzy.

I have looking at the ipad app as well, they have a few out. Go Travel, go kruger and go Kgalagadi. As soon as i get back into town, will be getting them as they are a bit big to download. Any one played with them yet ?

I am hoping someone may be able to help me. I would like to get a wall map of the Kruger (something along the lines of the map used on the sightings boards or maybe a little larger). Has anyone bought one of these or know where to get one?

This map here http://www.ecotravel.co.za/Images/swf/knp-01-03-07.swf is made with vector graphics so is infinitely scalable, you would be able to print it any size you like without loosing print quality, I don't know where you live but in Canada there are several companies that would print this from a URL to whatever size you want. Hopefully you can find it "off the shelf" but if not this could be a solution.

Have a look for a fold-out map. I got a previous version to this with a guide book once.

I can't remember how detailed it is, we prefer the Honeyguide map book while in the park and at home, but it may be what you are looking for.

Another option for you might be a fold up map which I got from one of the Kruger shops a few years ago. You can see it http://www.saexplorer.co.za/south-afric ... ld_map.asp Scroll down to Touring Map of Kruger Park.Has a map of Kruger on the one side with surrounding areas. On the flip side a detailed map of Kruger together with camp layouts, distance charts as well as gate opening and closing times.

I will be traveling to Kruger for 2 weeks in October.
My number one hobby is traveling to locations rich in wildlife and natural beauty.
My second favorite hobby is researching before my travels.
I am thrilled whenever I find a forum like this exists for a destination that I'm traveling to.
There's always general forums like TripAdvisor, but forums like this, filled with people that are passionate about a destination and have traveled to that destination numerous times is invaluable.

My first questions for the forum are about maps and guidebooks.
I of course have done some research on them and it seems that the Honeyguide book that is sold at the park gates is a must have.
However, I can not figure out how to get my hands on one ahead of time.
My next question is what other guidebook/map would be at the top of your personal must have list?
