Camps are vital, but a great picnic spot can really crown a good day and an essential part of my Kruger experience.

So, which floats (or sinks) your boat, and why?

Huntsman, I see you joined yesterday. A very warm welcome to you. :D

I must say that I do like the camps Val mentioned.

I also like the very busy Tshokwane. They used to sell the most delicious venison boerrie wors and roll with fresh, ice cold, homemade ginger beer.

Heaven on a hot day of driving. 8)

Crested Val  agree totally with you but would like to add Mooiplaas - early morning before the hordes arrive! Who knows if an Ellie isn't lurking behind a bush or tree???

I like Nkuhlu. It is right next to the Sabie river and have excellent buffalo pies! Sitting next to the river listening to to the tranquility of the bush mixing with the flowing water of the Sabie while enjoying a mouthwatering buffpie is an experience that I wish upon everyone!

Much appreciated info already flowing in, and I can see I will have to change my itinerary already!

Thanks for the welcome, MM - I hope to be able to contribute a little soon...
