Indeed two of them - Thelotornis capensis (Southern vine snake, Twig snake, Bird snake)

Not sure if the jury is out about the availability of anti venom - "potentially lethal haemotoxic venom, A bite from this snake constitutes a medical emergency".

I certainly did not see them until one of them moved. They were around for a few hours, then they moved very quickly through the grass and were gone.

It is a tiger snake that the rangers told me about when I went to Olifants for breakfast on the 6th of December.
