We saw a Red Duiker (Rooiduiker) in May along the Shingwedshi river. I dont have a photo since the auto focus broke on the lens and my manual focus skills is not up to scratch.

I hope this qualifies as a rare antelope...

It was indeed a very special sighting. Any rare antelope sighting is usually a highlight of any trip to KNP.

We only ever had 1 other sighting of Lichtenstein near Pretoriuskop. One female with a calf.

The Springbok must be retired one. Otherwise it would have been in Japan or Europe.

Does a white impala qualifies as a rare sighting? Saw one near Mpondo Dam in Sept 2011.

Morning AM,
It will be good news if it is the same one. This means they can survive even if they are different  She was really beautifull :D
