A monument is gone.

I never saw hhim by myself, but after all the stories i read about him, it is, like a friend is gone.

Farewell Duke :gflower:

Great video Nico.

We met up with the Big Fella on the S28 in 2005.

Rest in peace big guy - I will miss going to KNP with the sole aim of finding you. We had some good times. I hope that future ellies will be blessed with your temperment and that there will be others able to fill your "biggest tusker" title so well.

Farewell big guy!

Alas, his mighty heart beats no more,
even though he was the one I never saw.

The south-east corner is silent now.
Vale dicere gentle giant.

Sic Transit Gloria.

Nature brings forth mostly tears of joy and sometimes tears of sadness.

Today I shed a tear of sadness for old Duke.

Very impressive to see all reactions coming from everywhere

It also proves that keeping the tusker site up to date following the tuskers through their life is good thing.
It motivates me once more to do this.

Duke has 3 pages at the tusker site covering about 6 years of his life.
I read and see that many people have seen him and also photographed.

I like to ask these people to consider if their pictures can be added value to make Duke's pages as complete as possible.

If so please leave a message or send pics to
tuskers@zeelandnet.nl

At the tusker site we now have many tuskers we follow and in the mean time building op a photographic biography of them.
As we can see here there are so many people interested in there wonderful creatures so any help is welcome.

thanks
