It's a pleasure Theuns

This was my first visit to malelane as well. It looks like a beautiful and peaceful camp, but the only thing that bothered me was the view from the fence. You see the farms and although they have beautifully green fields, I don't want to see them when I'm in Kruger. But that's just me. Other people love this camp. Leopard is often seen on this gravel road towards camp.

Hi Marijke
Thank you for the photo's of Malelane Camp. Have you got maybe a foto of Unit no 4, we are going for a week in December and would love to see it.
Which unit do you think is the nicest and a bit private. Unit no 1 really looks lovely with it's own little lapa.

Hi Rolypoly Image

A warm welcome to the forum.

The only photo of number 4 is this one.

(number 4 is the bungalow in the back (right hand side) It's closer to the fence than number one. (this photo was taken from number 1 and the fence is on your right hand side. The bungalows are build in a half circle) If I remember correctly, number 1 and number 4 has its own lapa.

Enjoy your stay in Malelane

I have NO idea what kind of bungalow number 42 (in the middle of the picture above) is.

That it is the only one in the B-circle that is not upgraded. Does anyone know something about number 42??? It will be interesting to know more about this bungalow...

Stayed in Satara in august 2009.Got two bd3b bungalows allocated to us but not next to each other ,(number was 42 between us). After inquiry they told us they are keeping one bungalow the original way for history purposes, apparently they will do this in every camp they do upgrade with? Actually slept in it one night with my sun as our 4 month old girl got the better of us! Still all original old beds, curtains etc.

:thanx: Thank you very much wbevents. That is very interesting to know. It's a great idea to compare the old bungalows with the new ones.
