This is my favourite photo at the moment. Not from a technical viewpoint or anything but just the feeling I get when I look at it. It brings back that beautiful afternoon where we came across this guy and his girlfriend for the week, my first lion in Kruger and what a boy he is. I love their paws.
In my opinion he is a stunning speciman and the scar on his face shows his character.

Oddly my favourite shot of all time is not of any big 5/wild dog or anything else like that. Instead it's this tranquil shot taken early one morning last February from the sand road crossing the river near the back of Shingwedzi:



I guess it just reminds me of how lovely it is to be alone in the bush in the early morning.

That's a difficult question..
I have several, depending on the mood I'm in, or what I remember from my 10 days in kruger:

This one because you hardly ever see them: (near Orpengate)


This one because of the light:


He just looks so amazed:


Mafufuyane, because he's so beautifull (Elephant Plains lodge):


This because it's so rare to see (let alone video, which we also did, the whole kill.)


And this one because I like these birds:


And that's not even all off them...

As I said before, no pro or pro-equipment, but this photo is paradise:

When you look at these photo's you cant help but be totally enamored by the beauty that surrounds us in S.A.

I must agree with Bwana, DuQues! I couldn't stop looking. Your pictures are awesome.
RE your question - mine does the same with all the topics photo's have been posted to.

DuQues is just the proof to show that at the end of the day it's all about your luck on the trip.

Once you can see everything, the next time you see nothing.

DuQues, you have achieved the "ultimate" for an overseas visitor. Spotting GREAT game.

A lot of the locals haven't even spotted most of the things you saw.

just because I love them so much, this is one of my favorit pictures I took...

One of my favourites with the compact digital...

This one because it seemed so weird seing a complete skeleton just lying by a waterhole:


This one was taken at the same waterhole. The sun was on it's way down and the scene was so peaceful.


and finally this one:

There were quite a lot of elephants coming down to the waterhole and we had to keep looking behind us, as they seemed to be appearing from all directions!

A mothers love:

The light isn't good but this is still one of my favourites.
