I saw this Red-Crested Korhaan in the Kruger this year. It was very hot and it was in the shade which made it difficult to photograph.

Taken on the S90 in Nov 2010.

We saw a beautiful Red-crested Korhaan on the Ngotso Weir Road S89 on the 14th October 2011. We didn't realise how rare seeing the red crest was, we got several photos and about 5 minutes of video :D

A Red-Crested Korhaan next to the road close to Orpen Camp in the Kruger National Park. It is amazing how good these birds are camouflaged.

A head shot alone is always going to be tough to make an id on. But it does look good for Red-crested here.

Hello. I am having trouble identifying some of the birds I saw in May/June in Kruger. Any assistance in identification is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

2. Black bellied bustard or Red crested korhaan?

Hi Sarafl,

I'm going to try my hand at this, but please, I'm a novice as far as bird IDs are concerned. I would, however, like to see whether I am right or wrong when an expert ID these for you. Here goes:

2. Red-crested Korhaan
