So there are always questions about what the chalets contain, how they look etc so I have a few home videos of some of the chalets at some of the camps - for those who would like to see the accommodation before booking/before they arrive so they know what to expect. Other people who would like a surprise are warned not to open the video links!!! And for those that have visited these camps before.....enjoy reliving the memories!!!! (please excuse the amature video footage.....and some of the commentary!!!! Oh.....and some of the videos had been taken after we had been in the chalet for a few days.....and my house-keeping goes to the birds after a few days of relaxation in KTP....so please excuse the mess!!!! ...... but hopefully this helps those looking for more info!!!)

First up......Kalahari Tented Camp (Tent number 12) - which is a two bed tent, The 4 bed tents are the same in lay-out ie the sleeping area and the kitchen, there are just 2 extra, lower beds in the room.

Great to see these videos and I hope other visitors decide to follow your example.

mistral - the best view game wise.....prob Urikaruus - although our last couple of visits there, the waterhole in front of the camp was quite quiet as the animals seemed to be drinking from the old Urikaruus waterhole which is about 1 km up the road (there normally is not any water there but with all the rain the water had just accumulated)

Next up - the new River Front chalets at Mata Mata!

Very up-market - DSTV, aircon and all. The accommodation is very nice - way past comfortable!

Great pics, Jo. We are going back to KTP for our 2nd trip in September/October and seeing your pics, I am getting even more excited! We will be staying at all the wilderness camps (except Kalahari Tented).

I think the pics are wonderful for people who are thinking about going to KTP, but have no idea what the accommodation is like. Thanks!
