laeveldleeu, All my photographs are genuine individual buffalos. The only photoshop work done on my photos is to crop and sharpen as well as correcting exposure. Nothing else has been done!

Hey "adw", are you a buffalo wisperer ?

I NEVER see that many big buffs !

In your last post with 3 photos you have some real wonderful beasts ! :D

The first could go 44" - 47", the second easily go 47" - 50" as do the third buff.

You are really blessed to find these big buffs !

Do you have proof of this, Laeveldleeu?

Which are you referring to?

I am not attacking anyone. Just an observation. I might be wrong as I don't know photoshop at all and I might be mistaken but I don't refer to your pics ADW or 100Pounder or Richprins. You've all got super nice shots and really big guys.
I will ask someone with photoshop experience to have a look for me.

Regards

All about size - what about age?

How about this one for age? Real old grumpy one I saw in the greater Kruger park!

On 8 August 2011, close to Berg en Dal, we spotted a herd of buffalo - not a big herd - may be about 200, And amongst them was this "albino". I also wondered, how old could this one be - it seems to survive well? Can one make an estimate by looking at the thickness of the horns?

I searched this thread re buffalo, from page one to see whether this one was 'recorded' or mentioned by anyone. But have not seen anything. I have noticed photos of albino young ones (Jun 2007 and Apr 2008) were posted, as well as a photo of an adult, Oct 2008.

In my TR (SOUTH KNP TALK SHOW HOSTED BY NATURE: Part 2) there are more photos on this animal - the area around the eyes and the tongue can be seen, unfortunately not the tail.

The god Khepri, is associated with the scarab. The ball of dung = the sun. The emergence of baby beetles = spontaneous creation.

Ms Skarabee,
If I look at the horns it looks quite old? Real albino if I look at the pink nose and eyes!!! Good photos..also those in your TR :D

Dyuring my Sept trip I saw this buffalo on the H10 near Tshokwane. I know Ndloti has already posted a photo of this buffalo some months ago. Looking at this photo is it a cow or bull? At first I thought it was a bull, but now on closer inspection I think it is a cow!

I like this thread - "spot the difference". of horn styles Never looked at it purposefully before spotting this websight.

... In this case, looking at the shape of the "head dress", I think it is a cow she let her hair down --- sort of :)

Great to see this grand old lady is still alive - thanks for posting your photo of her.
[ When one pages back through these pages several photos of her can be seen.]
