Vaughn, there was a similar thread not so long ago. Perhaps the mods can direct us to that. As far as I can remember 3 of the big 5 is still the record. Lions, elephants and a rhino.

I am still sorting out my pics from May 2011 trip , but did get some of Ellie , Buff , and Rhino in one pic.

No pics, but I recall seeing a male lion on a wildebeest kill fending off 34 spotted hyaenas, with a herd of buffalo and some elephant bulls in the background, when four black rhinos suddenly came walking past.

That makes four out of five in a single sighting.

We a week ago saw big 4 within 10 minutes just on the outskirts of the Timbavati.(Greater KNP). Heard of a leopard within driving distance but did not manage to find it... Ahhh.
