anne-marie meandering around Cape Town and WEST COAST Mar 11

Unread postby anne-marie » Sun Jun 26, 2011 8:39 pm

Hi everybody :D

Day 1: Thursday, 3rd March 2011

After three weeks in Kgalagadi, I was happy to stop in Cape Town. A few days of comfort were not displease me. And then, knowing the fabulous home and the warmth releasing, I could only rejoice.

One of the first things to do was to repair my glasses "three distances," ... stupidly broken in the car, and irreparable by myself. I was worth nothing without them and then look for a chip internet for my laptop. I want to try to post "live" in Kruger.
We then move to the Old Port, buy materials from scrappbooking and do some shopping. I refound "my" room, my marks in the house, new residents including a kitten, Nola, tabby just like I love them.

Then back home, "we" have people this evening. Beautiful people, a chance, heat, literally and figuratively. Everyone is busy including Doug with "the embers."
I'm not sure what to do, I am new to this type of exercise

WEST COAST... a new park

4th and 5th days: Sunday, 6th March and Monday 7th March 2011

Stand up and start at dawn, Doug is preparing the car, thank you Doug!
Scouter arrives and we go towards West Coast... WOW WOW WOW... :D

A small wonder, and more... it seems to be more beautiful in the spring ... so it must be two wonders
Oh ! Caracal, you really spoiled me
We skirt the edge of ocean, white sand lagoon with multitudes of birds, we stop to all birds hide, we note, note a bunch of new birds, Scouter takes notes ... , not me  , I take pictures, and observe, I can not do everything ... result, I miss some identifications ... thank you, Caracal, to help me :D

Then we come to DUINEPOS, where Caracal has booked a cottage.... No. 8. Oh! superb, two bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, living room and a small dining room. A beautiful terrace with a braai, what would be the natives without braai

Here again, we have a great evening, I like braaing..... and lots of memories to share :D

Here you are a new presentation... I don't know if... :?

Click on the picture and maybe something could come...

We leave the next day, after a great night and still traverse the Park, with a stop at Abrahamskaal birdhide. We even found the single PCG lost in this park and that Tony had told us last night.
