Quite a while ago there was a discussion between myself and some of the forumites to start a project whereby the SANParks forumites could get involved in by creating Scrapbooks for the three main camps (Twee Rivieren, Nossob and Mata-Mata) to enhance the guest’s experience through Scrapbooking.
We are also looking at doing three Scrapbooks based on the activities in the park, again one for each main camp.
This week KTP received their first Scrapbook (Twee Rivieren), which will be displayed in the reception area for all to have a look at and to start getting excited of what the park has to offer through SANParks forumites eyes/pictures.
After showing the book to senior management they were absolutely blown away by the effort put into the book and the quality of it.

So on behalf of Kgalagadi Management I would like to thank ALL mites involved (Gill Glass, Michelle Nel, Debbie Wright, Barbara Hudson, Nici Mamacos, Wanda Wentzel, Bronwyn Glass) in this project.

If there are any Forumites which do the Scrapbooking 'thing' you are more than welcome to send us your pages, which will be included in the book. If the Scrapbooking 'thing' is not your cup of tea you are still welcome to forward your Activity pictures or special sightings pics to me and I will forward it to the respective people to make a page (If they don’t mind  ).
I believe that the respective people who have made this project possible will come aboard on this thread and explain more.

Herewith some pics of the book

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL INVOLVED

Thank you Jannie..I am so pleased to see that the album arrived safely..not that I expected Scouter to lose it. :D
As regards more albums and pages we are hard at work .....
If there is anybody in the Cape Town area that would like to produce a page but is clueless about " scrapbooking" please feel free to contact me and I will be more than willing to help you get your pages done.

We do need photos of activities though..I myself have only been on one morning walk and I have mostly not taken my camera on night drives...hardly enough to fill an album.

So come on all you "scrappers" get those photos out and scrap them ......pleeeaseeeeeeeee ...... :D :D

Morning All,

Caracal, there are no words to express the gratitude from Management. After I have shown it to the Park Manager and the word went around my office was so busy since everybody had to come and have a look at the book - so once again THANKS. The book is indeed such a plus point for the park.

The book will be placed at Twee Rivieren reception as of from today.

KG

Pleasure Jannie :D

I thought I would post photos of some of the other pages. The pages are slightly longer than my scanner so quite often the bottom bit or the top bit of the page is cut off..apologies !

First of all it is not always necessary to do a double page..single pages will suffice as well.

The following are two single pages

Wandaw's Twee Rieveren Leopards

Image

and my "The Earth laughs in Flowers"

And some examples of double pages

Wannabe Nerd's "Cheetahs of the Kgalagadi"

I cannot get these pages to sit next to each other but please imagine them as one next to each other in the album.

Birds of a feather Flock together..mine.
