Is a International Wildcard worth it ???

Unread postby mattmillielibby » Tue Jun 28, 2011 4:10 am

Hi All. just a quick question. we are coming back to sunny south africa in Sept/Oct for 3 weeks which 5 days will be in the Mighty KNP (woohoooooo) however my wild card has expired and was wondering is it really worth spending R2620.00 for a family of 4 for 5 nights stay.

If i do not have a card what will we be charged extra for us for 5 nights.

Please advise

many thanks

Hello MaryMattMillie!

An international Wild Card will cost you R2620 total.

Daily conservation fees are R180 per adult and R90 per child, per day. I'm going to guess that your you are looking at 2 adults and 2 children, costing R540 per day. R540 x 5 = R2700.

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

Sadly enough, for the meantime, the points gathered on the old wildcard cannot be used any more. :hmz:

That is still under debate, but seeing as how slow things are going with getting our actual cards at the moment, I bought mine last year November, I would not hold up my hopes up too high. :?
