Let me tell you I've tried all the supposed regular spots to sight sable, but have come up negative the last few years. Timing not right, I suppose? :(

Have to admit I haven't had a problem seeing them, but I will say that the majority of sightings
have been later in the day not first thing in the morning or just before gate close.

I think so!! Last November we saw them early in the morning, in the last daylight and during the day (around 10-11 pm). All sightings a few km's away from Talamati.
Nice video Mama fariu

Dear Flying Cheetah, it had taken us many years of going to Kruger before we saw this herd.It was near Jones Dam, 4 rhino were drinking and I said to my hubby, quick lets get to the Rhino, he replied don't worry about the rhino check up there, and there this herd was.

We also saw Roan crossing the road on the same trip, but quite a few cars were blocking the road, I took some video, but not good enough to put on the Forum.

Regards Mama Faru

I saw Sables... well camouflaged, on the Voortrekker road (H2-2), about 8 Km from Asfaal, end of May :D
