In Lower Sabie, by far, the fixed tents overlooking the perimeter are the absolute best. And unit Mopani #101 also has a great view as you are braaing at night overlooking the waterway. In my opinion anything along the fence line is the best! But hey, you're in Kruger - it's all good.

Hi Enricfd Image Welcome to the forum :)

Lower sabie I would say bungalow number 18 or 20 is the best.

Skukuza I would try for number 191. We stayed in 192 and I think 191 is a bit better and close to the kitchen

Orpen I would say number 12. It's got a bit of a view of the waterhole. Number 11 and down does not have the best view, with the trees in front.

I've got some pictures of accommodations HERE

Hi Safarimeisie

I emailed the specific camps about 2months ago and they reserved my requested bungalows/tents. They did say that I must confirm a week in advance and also that the getting this reserved unit is not guaranteed. Ill PM the contact details Dinkybird sent me.

Enjoy your trip. When are you off?

Hi
We had a BD2M at Pretoriuskop in September. They are ones close to the camping area. We stayed in # 15 but the one next door # 14 was much nicer and will definitely request that one next time. They are still shown as BG2 on the map but some of them have been upgraded into BD2M.
Hope this helps

Hi everyone

I changed my booking 'again'  We will be staying in Olifants BD2V with a view. Who stayed here before and can suggest a nice number? Pictures will be great

I've stayed in #16 and it has a very nice view (there are some pix in my TR from 2006).

Me and SO also stayed in number 16 and recently in number 10 but this was a BBD2V with the best view. No 16 is very nice. Cant go wrong with it

We have just stayed at Lower Sabie in a BD2U -they all appear to have wonderful views of the river.
We were in 81 but No 76 looks the best from what I could see (only that it had better furnishings) -i tried to get it but had no luck!
If you look at the accommodation thread there are photos taken of some BD2U. We LOVED Lower Sabie

Some nice pics of 2 of those units Accommodation pics

but sure most of the perimeter ones will be great.

Hi,

thanks for all the posts regarding the best Bungalows.
We coming to Skukuza on the 16th Dec 2012, and are staying in a BD3 Bungalow.

With not being here for over 20 odd years due to living to far, I am now treating husband & 5 year old to a holiday. they have never done something like this before, so want to make it really special for them.

I had the following units in mind, 54, 43, 185.

but am definitely up for any suggestions.

Hi klutzzn and a warm welcome to the forum!
I would say either 54 or 185 would be fine.
You can always take a stroll to the walkway along the perimeter for a nice view over the river.
Enjoy!

Dear all :D ,
I`m new in this forum. I have visited Kruger several times since 1978 but never had been in Sirheni.
Originally I had booked Shingwedzi but had to swop because they closed Shingwedzi due to the floods for the whole year. It is such a pitty I love Shingwedzi, it is my favourite camp.

SIRHENI - I have a booking there in September for a Unit GC6. From the camp map I can see that the only Unit GC6 is the Bungalow No. 14.

Is there anyone who has ever stayed in Sirheni No. 14. I new from the Forums Sirheni-page that No. 15 must have a very good view.

My question : Does the Unit 14 in Sirheni has a good view onto the dam ??
Hope someone is able to help me.
Thanks, Brigitte

LOWER SABIE! Managed to get a booking for a BD2U bungalow but 2 questions for you!
They were working on renovations during last year.
1:- Does anyone know if they are still busy and if so, near which number bungalows near the river?

Dear Kite, I have been in Lower Sabie in Dezember 12. I stayed in the BD3U and did also walk along the BD2U units one of days I was there. There were no working going on anymore, except at the Keartland House which is next to the new family cottages 93 + 94. I would not take no. 92 because you will be disturbed by the aircondition of No. 93. Regarding my notebook No. 91 to 76 are good.
I can`t tell which might be the best. I did not take a closer look because I prefer BD3U as the kitchen is inside the bungalow.

I hope this will help,
Greetings, Brigitte
