Are there no rangers at Skukuza that are interested in posting reports of drives/ walks on the forum??
What a shame.
Well, maybe visitors in theSkukuza area should continue with this thread.
My input will be posted after Easter weekend.

On Thursday evening we spotted a young small leopard with an impala kill at the junction 500m away from camp.
The next morning we saw 4 hyenas crossing the low water bridge over the Sand River. A few minutes later we saw a big leopard crossing the H12.

you´re welcome fee :D - of course we had more great sightings on our trip. I am busy with my trip report and my photos at the moment. Hope to get this sorted during the Easter weekend - and then i will post everything here.
But as you are leaving on Friday you will only read my TR and see my photos after your trip.

How does your itinerary look like? Maybe i can tell you a bit more then................just send me a pm.

It has been a long time since there has been any action on this thread.

Hard to believe that as the HQ there are no rangers that can fill us in on sightings.

Until then the visitors info will be well appreciated.

Hi -
Wanted to post earlier, but here goes:
Stayed in skukuza over Easter weekend 22-23rd April

Hyaena lying in the grass just outside the gate on the 23rd April
Wild dog on the Nursery/golf course road leading to Lake Panic. In fact the pack of seven were seen twice, at different times, on the same day Sat 23rd April
Also some giraffe and a herd of elephants on the same road.

Hi Guys,

I was in the park yesterday. Had some work up that way and couldn't resist the temptation to just pop in and so I did just that.
Anyway to all that are going to be around Skuks this "long weekend" etc there is a hyaena den not far from camp.
As you exit camp get to the 4way and turn right heading to Kruger gate road. About maybe 1km further down on your left side there is a no-entry road. Right at the right hand corner of the no-entry road there seems to be a den(culvert).

I was fortunate enough to have seen 2 adult females and 3 pups not more than a few months old.
This was some time after 3pm. Do yourselves a favour and keep your eye out.

My next "big" sighting happened a few kms further when something big presented itself in the middle of the road hallting all traffic.
It was a TRAFFIC COP !!!! So please take it easy and DON'T speed. There were at least 2 cameras being manned on the road to the Kruger gate exit.

So get in the park and hope you have fab sightings to share.
