KG,

I have ordered a lot of rain from 1 May to 11 May!!! Just make sure you keep it there - do not let it disappear into the red Kalahari sand!!.

Depends what your definition of 'flowing' is. I saw the Auob flowing in Feb for 13 km to Urikaruus, but the whole length was not flowing and the water didn't flow across the Nam border.

BB,

I wish I could agree with you that what you saw was indeed the river flowing BUT unfortunately it wasn’t, due to all the rain we have had the water table in the riverbeds were quite high and the water seen in the riverbeds were the water which didn’t saturate into the ground that fast and was lying on the surface......maybe next year. Flowing would be when it enters the KTP from its original source and keep going until it flows back into the ground.

Hi Jannie, don't put old BB down - if he believes he saw it flowing, let him keep on believing it
As you know, at his age he is seeing all sorts of things.

Yeah! Yeah! The older you get the more it seems that things around you are "moving" whereas they are actually stationary!

I am deeply offended by you lot!

If you believe that then the tooth fairy will see you at easter

Seriously though, the water was flowing into the road and out the other side, near the Urikaruus western crossing,making an 'arrowhead' flowing where there was no water yet.

@BB,

I have seen that water as well which had accumulated in the riverbed, but unfortunately it didn’t flow as a river should. It was quite a sight, do you have any pictures you could post to show some of the forumites what it looked like.

I agree KG, it was not flowing from end to end like a normal river does, but there was a 13 km contiguous section where the water flowed towards Urikaruus, hence my question, what constitutes 'flowing".

Sorry, some of the pics were taken when it was really gloomy.

There has been some widespread rains throughout the park and Twee Rivieren had some rain this morning, apparently they expect 80% rain for tomorrow and the rest of the week doesn’t look like we will get plenty of sunshine.

It rained in the Matta Matta area on Friday night (15th) , there where some pools of water in the roads, and it seemed like the area around 14th/13th boreholes had received a lot.

Hi Gavin, how goes . The grass isnt so long at tr, but is long at matta matta, although this did not seem to reduce the sightings, except just after the rain. The lions where roaming in the roads mostly, i dont think they like the grass lol.
