Hi Rob . Very very nice photos.
My wife (Shirleymargate) and I are spending 9 months with our children in NZ (Thames) and love it here - our fifth visit. The scenery and birdlife here I agree with you is so beautiful. We are leaving for the South Island (Milford Sound and surrounding area) on the 13th of this month and are looking forward to that.
However are we allowed to place photos taken in New Zealand on this website? I hope so because we enjoy your photos very much Rob and we also have a few.
Kind regards Frans

Photos are fantastic. Shows me what I have to look forward to soon.

I will be in NZ for the month of May and June. Maybe we should all try for a mini meet.

Great to know im not the only new one ;) hehe.

Thanks for the comment, I hope to head down south also soon :)

Hey Frans, nice one!

Sounds good, Iv'e only ever been up to thames once, and that was at news years... and by accident we were mean't to be going to hahei... got there eventually.
Glad your enjoying it, we are Very very green! lol
Also yes I believe we are aloud... aslong as we don't get them muddled in between the SANPARKS/ South African Wildlife posts/threads, If we keep it tidy we should be fine :)

South has the most photography oppertunities so you'll love it down there!

Have Fun & Thanks!

Thanks Mizzbee,
Where abouts are you heading in New Zealand? :)

Rob, I will be touring both Islands. My base is Auckland. I will be on the South Island from 10th May to 18th May. I will then make my way slowly up to Auckland until 27th May. The next 3 weeks I will do shorter trips from my base. I see that Hamilton is a mere +100 kms away.

Any tips on what I must see?.

Hey Rob,

Awesome shots. Did you manage to get a closer look at the back of that spider? I'm still trying to find some decent books on NZ wildlife (spider, bugs, etc.), but my limited knowledge of NZ spiders says that this spider could be one of five, including the white tail. If it had two white stripes, or four white dots on the top of the abdomen then it was a whitetail, otherwise you're on your own for now.

Cheers
BN

PS: Welcome to NZ when you do get here mizzbe
