It is the lighting and it definitely IS a kingfisher :D . If you lighten it up a bit you can clearly see the turquoise edges to the wings.

Looks like a brownhooded to me ? Top and bottom beaks are orange.

Tilandi Brown-hooded Kingfisher, the black beak tips and the black on the back cuts off forming a waistcoat effect.

I saw this Brown-hooded Kingfisher at the Ntandanyathi hide between Lower-Sabie and Krokodil-Brug.
