I do think that this is a unique and magic moment.

Thank you OSD

We have so many captures of big5, yet this really captures Kruger at its most elusive.

I hope others will add to this very special thread.

please share your own moments of magic 8)

There was a battle of Kruger that made headlines.. because it was about "big okes"

I do think that we need a thread that will promote unique moments capured on camera... from everyone  .

I cannot tell you how much this video caught my attention. It is unique.

One of the things that has kept me glued to the forum for so long is the excitement, commitment and passion of the many members.

A major concern of mine, is that so many wonderful video clips get lost in trip reports that have a relatively small audience and time frame. We are hiding the forum's greatest asset, commitment, observation and sharing.

Could this not become a sticky thread where people can post their unique encounters? MM is a mad and enthusiatic follower of bush magic. I am sure that I am not alone.

Off the top of my head I can think of SusieB's hyenas, Sharifa and Duke's lion roar  , Caracal's... anything really, Nico's wonderful compilations of animal and music, Toko's compilation of all of the Parks... and.. and.. and. I remember Katy's cobra's and someone who posted the most incredible footage of a cobra eating a puffadder on Table mountain.

oh dear, then there is Mad's Serval eating a Puffie

These are treasures and they need to be more "in our face"

This, to me, is what the forum is about. Making the hidden available, sharing the wonder of "magic moments".

Please  could this be a sticky?

I remember hearing that lion roar for the first time and feeling my flesh rise.

That should never be lost.

absolutely, this is our treasure

An area that I struggle with in terms of the forum :(
we do not appreciate the richness that we have.

Hi Meandering Mouse and ossendryver, that is a great idea to create a video thread. I like to put some of my magic moments on this thread and hope that the formites can easily find the video,s that they like.

This video that I filmed in Mokala was an imperessive moment with some buffalo,s that were fighting. Have a look.

@Jungle Junkie, thanks. Filming is my hobby but my profession is Wildlife Painter.

@ossendryver, thanks. This fight was between two little groups of Buffelo,s that didn,t like each other. After the fight they split and were gone.

An other Magic Moment was the strength of a Lion that pulled a dead Buffelo away.He tryed to take the carcas in to the shade.

Okay, this was probably the best video moment I have ever had!! It was 10km north of Lower Sabie about 2 years ago... In the middle of winter and in the middle of the day! Remember snakes is less active in winter....We first followed the serval walking in the road and then waited about half an hour (we could not see the serval - it went to lie down... We saw the snake... but never thought it would be the prey  What a wonderful sighting we had!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as we have...
