Morning folks

Cricket 2011 is looming on the horizon. This year we want to make it better than ever before with more entertainment and fun for the forum members by the forum members. As before SANParks will be our hosts and provide us with the venue and the Friday night braai fires and pap.

We would like to set timetables and a program for our cricket weekend and for that we need to see how many of the guys would like to play. Our aim is to have as many forum members join in the cricket fun as possible and to achieve this goal we have decided to extend the cricket to the Friday as well. This is where you mites get your chance to share in the fun as we plan to have as many short matches on the Friday as we can get players to play.

On the Saturday we will have the main matches as usual between the angels and the northern devils and our forum select team, the Kgalagadi and Skukuza men's team. Between these matches we will try and accommodate as many members as possible that could not make it on the Friday.

We would like to extend a warm invitation to all forum members who would like to be part of the cricket and play to put down your names by the middle of December to enable us to do the necessary planning and if there are slots available we will open it to member's families to join in the fun and have a game as well. Please indicate if you would be available on the Friday as we can not assure you of a game on Saturday and we would like to give as many mites as possible a game and a chance to be chosen for the final. Even if you are not an avid cricketer and would just like to play for the fun please let us know. We are trying to arrange a format whereby everyone can get a chance to play and have some fun.

So please reply to this message or send me a private message and we will get you onto the list.

If your son wants to play also please include them and let us know. We want to give as many forum members as possible a chance to play.

Cricket@Skukuza is a big forum meet where forum members from all over the world come to Skukuza on a weekend in March, play cricket against Skukuza and each other and have a great time. Next year it is scheduled to happen 11 - 13 March 2011.
