Guys I just need to forward the next message from the Wilderness camps.
They do appreciate the 'guide' books and they are so hungry for information, they just want to let you know its appreciated and they read the books every night to have a better understanding about nature and the animals within.

I love reading. In my work I often deal with people whose lives have been changed by books. This has been my motivation to do a major spring clean.

I see a book as knowledge waiting to be explored. Holding onto books is like holding onto knowledge. There is nothing that makes me happier than a book well paged.

I have been watching this thread "from a distance". It was always in the "view active topics" thing at the top of my screen. Because I was not going into Arid Park territory, I never viewed the posts.

I would just like to say that this has been one of the most inspiring threads. Thank you, Jumbo.

I think that we need to think seriously about what we throw away. This needs to be followed through in every park we visit.

Books, knowledge, change lives.

As an avid reader in trains, planes and automobiles (the last not while at KTP, I expect though) and always fearing to get out of reading materional underway, I was actually browsing the forum to find out if KTP has a book swapping library .. for guests.
I conclude from this thread that there isn't but that I can take all the books I want (that would mostly be english thrillers and novels) and just leave them when finished.?

Could you perhaps give a hint as to other items that would be appreciated?

Morning All,

Any books will be very much appreciated. Books we receive are handed out to the respective camp attendants whom they are able to change as they finished reading them.

Due to the parks location and the availability of the staff to get to places where they can obtain reading material makes it so difficult and therefore any books which you would like to bring to the park will be put to good use.
