OK, another question.

My original International Wildcard expired in September 2008 and as I did not visit any Sanparks destination in 2009, I renewed my card on my recent visit to the KTP, at Twee Rivieren the beginning of October (2010).

I was told that I could keep my old card and that it would suffice. I was not issued with a new card.

I have just tried to update my card on the Sanparks Update site, and have received a conformation back telling me that my card expired in 2009. I have tried to reply to the email address in the message which has been bounced back as undeliverable, so what now anyone?

Hi Sue, I would then recommend you send an e-mail to Joep Stevens and let him deal with this, plus hope for the best!

Also contact Infinity via the number on the Wildcard, or their website, and ask for proof of renewal via email (a screenshot, is what I was told was needed). Send this to Joep to assist him in sorting it out for you.

I did what ecojunkie said. You can send him an e-mail with as much info you can, including the screen print from Infinity and he will sort every thing.

On a positive note, I have just updated my details on-line and received a confirmation letter immediately which I printed.
I look forward to my new card arriving in due course.

Thanks to Joep I now have a letter from Sanparks reflecting that my Wildcard is valid until the end of October 2011. I just hope that there are no raised eyebrows at the gate when I produce my Infinity Wildcard in the absence of one that is going to be issued by Sanparks and that there is not total confusion when according to the letter received from Joep it reflects that the Wildcard referred to was purchased in October 2009 but is valid until October 2011. Ahhhh well we shall just have to wait and see what happens!

don't worry! I was pretty much in the same boat.....and last week asked BnD folk to check my card for me....and it was fine. So it seems the system knows the right thing even if notifications are strange!

Is a new wild card going to be issued soon or will we just have to wait for the old to expire before purchasing a new wild card?
I have the letter confirming I updated my details. It declares it's temporary proof of purchase and is valid till 31 December.
I live in KZN and want to visit their parks.
Are they accepting this letter or the old wild card or both together for entrance fees.

I have been getting anxious about receiving the new Wild Card as we are leaving for Kgalagadi on 21 April. After making e-mail enquiries about when replacement cards would become available I received a reply this week saying the replaement cards would begin posting in APRIL?! so it could very likely not arrive in time.

However, my understanding is that, seeing as we have already updated our WildCard details and received a confirming letter, if we don't receive our new card before we leave our old card will continue to be acceptable - provided we produce with it the letter confirming that our Wild Card details have been updated and our ID

That is correct Ruthp.
Just take the confirmation letter, together with your new card with you and you will be just fine.
