Thanks guys. It was great to film the Honey Badgers. We saw more than 7 of them in KTP. That is the result of driving slowly through the park.

I was driving on the H10 from Onder Sabie to Tshokwane on 2010/09/15 when I saw a pair of Honey Badgers in the field. They were running and I managed to take these photos.

I have done some online research (google & wikipedia  ) and found the following African Myth about the Honey Badger:

“… The honey badger is prominent in African myth. In one legend God created a contest between a honey badger and a pangolin to deem who would be allowed to eat honey. The honey badger poured honey from a pot on the sleeping pangolin. He then led the honey trail to a nest of ants. The ants stung the sleeping pangolin causing his skin to become tough and scaly. The creator deemed from then on that pangolin would eat ants and that honey badger would be allowed to feast on honey. …”

Lovely pics of the not-too-shy HB, Trevor!  The food in that bin looks less than appetising, but I suppose he's not that fussy. :hmz:

I've never seen one in camp. I've seen 2 on one day though. One on the S90 a few km's from the S41 around 10 am. The other on the H1-4, 5 km's north of Satara around noon.
