So many powerful animals and natural wonders have inspired designers and manufacturers of planes, trains and automobiles, that they have named these modes of transport after them. In fact, for ages they have relied on symbolism by creating (or trying to create) a lasting link between their vehicles/planes and a concept which is easily understood by people - and thus cleverly linking the physical characteristics/attributes of an animal or natural wonder to a specific mode of transport.

Civic Use

For example, the name Prado came from the Spanish word 'guepardo', which means cheetah, imitating the phenominal movement of this animal.

Military Use

F-16 Fighting Falcon Rc Airplane. Although the F-16's official name is "Fighting Falcon", it is known to its pilots as the "Viper", due to it resembling a viper snake.

Let us see if we can add names of modes of transport that starts with each letter of the alphabet. We start at A, and once A is exploited, we move on to B, etc. Also, please feel free to think up your own names for modes of transport, military use, and shortly explain why.

And... you are only allowed to make one post on one name at a time. You are allowed to repost after someone else has made a post.

I hope you enjoy this one.
